THE WAIT


It was 8:30.He waited impatiently.

His movements were limited by the impact of what he was about to witness.All his might and will finally collapsed to the knowledge of what was about to take his existence. Rain poured down on him as though washing each bit of his memories away, which probably will make his exit peaceful, yet painful. He held his breath low and tried to calm it down; he deserved every bit of it. Never though he thought that this would be his fate. Never did he believe that this would be his fate..

Moving forward, one hand tied to another at back, he knelt down. He could smell earth ,and his body which soon will be a part of it, just like thousands other who were never remembered again by anyone. Within days people wont talk about him, no one will know what brought his downfall. He would be just another man who was better dead than alive. It seems that death was not the refuge he was seeking. He wished to live, he felt remorse but no one cared. He was brought there to be executed. Only one thing would change the destiny, and yet it surprisingly was destiny itself. For the first time he heard the cries of children whose parents he killed. For the first time he heard the chaos he created. He betrayed people and they returned the favor. His existence contaminated his world for him. It was experiencing deja vu for he saw his fear not once but.. he prayed as everyone else in front of him did..he cried and begged for mercy..

A gunshot was heard.


Death is kind after all. There he was free of everything. The sin. The life.



It was 8:31.The wait was over.
